Dr. Russell Zwiener, MD.

Russell Zwiener, MD completed his premedical undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin. Hook em Horns! He graduated from St. Matthews University School of Medicine in the Cayman Islands in 2010. After a one-year stent in general surgery at UT Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, he followed his true love in caring for pediatrics. He completed his general pediatric residency in 2015 at the University of Oklahoma in Tulsa. He then went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at LSU in New Orleans in 2018. Russell has found his way back to San Antonio where he will be learning interventional advanced and therapeutic endoscopy procedures in children. He has been married to his wife Jaime since 2011. They have two beautiful girls Emmaline (Emmie), 5 and Kool Kid Molly, 3. Russell is an avid sports fan cheering for all things Houston (Go Astros!)  and Texas Longhorns!
