Prof. Angela Morgan is a speech pathologist and speech scientist. She leads the Speech and Language group at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and is Professor-Director of Speech Pathology at the University of Melbourne. Angela’s current program of work is focused on understanding the genetic and brain bases of childhood speech and language disorder, in particular in children with apraxia of speech. She leads the National Health and Medical Research Council Centre of Research Excellence in Speech and Language Neurobiology. In recent years, Angela has developed a passion for studying speech and language in children with rare genetic syndromes to optimize clinical outcomes and to improve prognostic counseling for families of affected children.
