Grayson is our miracle child. He was the gift from God we prayed for and needed. He has filled a whole in our hearts and gave us a reason to smile everyday. Life isn’t boring anymore that’s for sure. He loves all things boys. He is a major dirt bike fan and loves cops. We are currently hosting kool aid stands throughout the year to raise money for extra curricular activities he wants to do. Everyone loves Grayson famous kool aid.

How did you feel when your child was first diagnosed?

Overwhelmed and had a lot of questions and mainly what would his quality of life be.

What does your KdVS individual love the most?

Cops and fire trucks with dirt bikes.

How does KdVS affect your child?

To me it doesn’t. He is Grayson and we don’t let a diagnosis determine his life or the outcome. He has beat all odds that’s been stacked against him all these years.

How has KdVS affected your entire family?

It’s definitely changed our outlook on life and made us appreciate things more.

What is the hardest part about having KdVS?

The doctors and yearly tests.

What is the hardest part about being a KdVS parent?

I don’t see a difference than anyone else.

What is the biggest misconception about being a KdVS parent or an individual with KdVS?

Google has created an image in those who don’t know the full stories of our lives that it’s the worse way to live etc.

What would you tell newly diagnosed parents about KdVS?

Take everything with a grain of salt, especially with what doctors say.

What would you tell doctors, teachers and therapists about KdVS individuals?

They just wanna be loved, accepted, and shown just because they have a disease that comes with different situations for different families, doesn’t mean they can’t be successful like everyone else.

Why are you asking people to donate to the KdVS Foundation?

For families who could use a little extra help with a bill or surgery coming up. In this day and age, it takes a village to raise families. We’re all Gods children. Love and respect ❤️
