A New Orleans, Louisiana native, Cindy now calls Nashville, Tennessee home.  She has lived around the world, spending time in Lagos, Nigeria, and Luanda, Angola while attending high school in Rome, Italy.  Cindy returned to the United States to attend Memphis State University where she earned a degree in Elementary Education.  Cindy spent 40 years working as an IT Executive and Program Manager based out of Nashville before retiring in 2019.  Philanthropic work has been a constant for Cindy throughout her life, but she became personally invested in the Koolen-de Vries Syndrome (KdVS) Foundation after her great-nephew, Reid Stagner, was diagnosed with KdVS in 2015.  She joined the board in 2022 and currently serves on the Summit Planning Committee.
